Fountain Tire is seeking a motivated Security Analyst to be a key player in our Information Systems team at our South Edmonton Corporate Head Office!
This role will protect the organization’s digital and physical assets by monitoring, detecting, and responding to threats across all areas of the business, including network, application, endpoint, data, identity, and cloud environments.

Duties and Responsibilities
- Monitor and respond to security threats in collaboration with internal teams and external partners
- Conduct internal security assessments and penetration testing to evaluate system, application, and infrastructure risks
- Implement and maintain privileged access management (PAM) solutions, including configuration, policy enforcement, lifecycle management, access reviews, and integration with key systems to support least privilege and just-in-time access models
- Support identity and access management (IAM) processes, including access governance, authentication controls, and troubleshooting of access issues
- Maintain and tune endpoint and email security technologies to detect and block malware, phishing, and advanced persistent threats
- Maintain and configure enterprise firewalls and Zero Trust network technologies, including site-to-site VPNs, secure remote access, cloud-based security platforms (e.g., SASE), and policy enforcement to support segmentation, access control, and continuous verification
Help protect sensitive data through encryption, classification, and monitoring across systems.
Assist with incident response, user training, risk reviews, and ongoing improvements to security practices.
Participate in an on-call rotation and perform other duties as required, supporting the ongoing operation, incident response, and adaptability of the security program.
Required Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
- Diploma or Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or Cybersecurity with a minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered
- Familiarity with vulnerability management, PAM, firewalls, endpoint protection and Zero trust technologies is an asset
- Must have a solid understanding of enterprise IT architecture and how security integrates across systems
- Exceptional technical troubleshooting, problem solving, and root-cause analysis
- Ability to adapt to evolving threats, technologies, and business requirements
- Willingness to participate in on-call rotation and perform after-hours or weekend work when necessary
- Excellent written and verbal communication ability, and organizational skills are essential
