Fountain Tire Sidney (2061 Malaview Ave W Unit 1, Sidney, BC V8L 6X6), is looking for responsible, safe and dedicated associates to join our team as a Licensed Apprentice Automotive Service Technician.
Wage: $42-$44/hour (wage based on experience)

Primary Responsibilities:
- Identify performance problems while using the diagnostic equipment and advising the customers and customer-facing associates on the work performed, general vehicle condition, and future suggested maintenance schedules and repair requirements.
- Perform scheduled maintenance service, such as oil changes, fluid level checks, tire rotations, lubrications, and tune ups.
- Ensure a safe workplace by adhering to all “work safe” protocols to ensure the safety of yourself and your coworkers.
- Operate company and customer vehicles in a clean and safe manner.
- Maintain mechanical service equipment on a regularly scheduled basis.
- Pride in the work you've done keeping your customers safe and, on the road, site or field!
Working conditions:
- A team environment where hard work, concise communication and clear heads are rewarded.
- Consistent lifting of weights of approximately 25KG without assistance, is required.
- This work can be unpredictable, physical, wet, cold, windy etc. and we need someone who will be up for the challenge.
- This role requires nearly constant standing, crouching, or kneeling.
Qualifications:
- Completed or registered in a 4 year automotive service technician apprenticeship program/Red Seal is a MUST
- Must possess a valid driver’s license permitting the independent operation of a passenger vehicle.
- Must be able to provide a satisfactory passenger or commercial Driver’s Abstract from licensing province as requested by management.
